I think the hurricane madness will help Bush. It gave him a chance to step in like the heroic savior that he thinks himself to be.
So all the Floridians are now all “Oh, thank goodness for G. W. and his massive bundles of aid. (Sure, he doesn’t have the money to be giving us aid, since he’s spending it all on the military and there’s not enough revenue to cover THAT, but he’s giving it to us anyway.)

agreed. hurricanes distract from Iraq and give Bush the excuse to tour the swing state. nonetheless i have to point out: where is Ivan now? Texas!
